What started as a simple attempt to “brighten” my skin became the darkest season of my life. A highly recommended combo from a well-known brand promised glow — and delivered severe acne, dark knuckles, and stubborn pigmentation.
Every morning, I stood in front of the mirror and cried. New breakouts. Deeper dark spots. A face I no longer recognized. Makeup couldn’t hide it. Filters amplified it. So I began hiding myself instead.

I learned what truly heals the skin — and what silently damages it in the name of “glow.” ...Slowly, my skin began to recover. But more importantly — so did my self-worth.
